Vilko Pupos ‎– Žolynai LP

Vilko Pupos is a contemporary Lithuanian folklore ensemble featuring former members of the defunct Keisto Folkloro Grupė from the 90s. Their first release “Žolynai” features an ensemble of švilpa whistle, jaw harp, kalimba, violin, skudučiai reed pipes, and kanklės alongside the beautiful and textured saxophone of special guest Petras Vyšniauskas. Stunning vocals weave in and out of traditional instrumentation, building a dream world of contemporary Lithuanian folk music. Self-released and distributed by the band themselves in 2019, we are delighted to carry copies of “Žolynai”.
